Cavansite on Stilbite

Cavansite is a striking and rare mineral that is prized for its vibrant blue color and unique crystal structure. It was first discovered in 1967 in the Malheur County of Oregon, but is now primarily found in the Deccan Traps of India. Cavansite typically forms in small clusters of prismatic crystals that are often found in cavities within volcanic rock. The crystals have a bright blue color that is caused by the presence of copper ions within their crystal lattice.
